In depth

Verdict

Cool Box, Racing Times and Flying Encore are the three against the field and preference is for Racing Times. Racing Times is a son of Danetime and he shaped well on his introduction at Newmarket, going down by just over three lengths. That was a promising debut and this extra furlong should suit. Cool Box also shaped promisingly on his debut here and should also improve for his debut, having a similar profile to Racing Times. A daughter of Royal Applause, Flying Encore did not have much room on her debut at Kempton but flew in the closing stages belying her starting price of 33-1. She looked unlucky and could have gone close with a clear run, beaten only five lengths. This is a tricky affair with little form to go on, with Racing Times nominated to improve for his promising debut run at Newmarket.
