Sirens Gift, Hoh Mike and Contest are the trio to focus on here, with the Cadeaux Generaux filly Blue Siren taken to score. Hoh Mike is a consistent type, justifying favouritism at Ascot on his re-appearance, before finishing second in a similar contest to this at Haydock. The fifth in the Ascot race has won since, and he looks sure to run his race, but at his likely short price he looks worth taking on. Unraced as a two year old, Contest began his career quietly with a promising run in a maiden, before going on to two cosy successes. The Irish contender is clearly useful and merits respect, but he is taking a rise in class here and may be found out. Siren's Gift ran well in Group Two contests last season, and will be sharper for her re-appearance run, finishing a close second to the race fit and prolific Morinqua. She will be able to handle any cut in the ground, and looks a serious rival to her opponents. Sirens Gift can present her backers with a good reward.
