Brief Goodbye can land this tricky finale at the expense of Velvet Heights and Whenever. The selection was in winning form at Windsor before running well in defeat off a four pound higher mark at Newmarket last time out for which he has been raised a further pound. He still looks well treated and with a nice light racing weight to carry he can be there abouts come the end of the contest. Velvet Heights has not won for some time now and although he runs consistently well the handicapper is reluctant to give him a chance. He still looks high enough in the weights to us but has the ability to finish in the frame once again. Whenever won twice last season for his connections and has his first outing as a four year old. The stable are not know for their flat winners but he has to be interesting off a mark of 81 so any support in the market should be noted. But for the winner we return to Brief Goodbye.
