QUICK REACTION can come out on top here and he gets the vote over Spoken and Longliner. Richard Hannon has had another good season with his juveniles and his colt Quick Reaction showed improved form at Doncaster last time when he finished fifth behind Coordinated Cut. He did not really get the race run to suit that day and with conditions in his favour here he is taken to open his account. Spoken chased home Hot Prospect back in fourth on his debut at Sandown when he reared up as he made his exit from the stalls. Under the circumstances it wasn't a bad effort and as he is sure to have learned plenty for the experience, he has to enter calculations. Longliner is an interesting newcomer from the Sir Michael Stoute yard who are in good form at present. This is not a particularly strong maiden and he won't have to be anything special to take a hand in the finish. The Andrew Balding-trained newcomer Gardening Leave is another worth consideration as he certainly makes plenty of appeal on breeding. This is a race where the market may provide the clues, but the vote goes to Quick Reaction.
