We will give Prince Vector another chance today, with the best of the rest possibly proving to be Sir Monty and Darling Deanie. The selection let us down last time when third to Croon over 12 furlongs on Lingfield's all-weather. However, back on Turf and stepped up in trip today, he can gain his revenge on these revised terms. Sir Monty has won his last two races by narrow margins but, as such, he could be ahead of the handicapper. He steps up in trip from his 12 furlong win here last time, and that could also help. Theoretically, working through a horse called Velvet Waters, he is closely weighted with Darling Deanie, who is also stepping up in trip, based on 12-furlong form but Maystock is entitled to beat Sir Monty if you trust today's revised terms from that Salisbury form referred to. For us, the others have more questions to answer than the horses we make the principals today. That's our view, anyway, with the vote going to Prince Vector.
