Millennium Hall, Lake Wakatipu, Caymans Gift and York Cliff are four against the field in a wide open affair and the tentative vote is given to Lake Wakatipu. The selection has been in fair form of late and was a fair third behind Court Of Appeal last time out. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and under conditions that suit he is taken to score. Caymans Gift rates the main danger as he is one of the most consistent run the race but he looks weighted up to his best. Millennium Hall was a fair third behind Rare Coincidence last time and is sure to strip fitter here so he should be noted in the market as he loves this course and distance. York Cliff is another that could go well as he won well last time out but this looks more competitive and his penalty may just find him out. Of the remainder the booking of Pauline Robson for Shekan Star catches the eye and is another that could go well but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Lake Wakatipu.
