Verdict
Loch Verdi gets the vote in this handicap with Best Double and City For Conquest rating the main dangers. The selection has improved with each run to date and was a fair second behind Phantom Whisper last time out. That form has since been franked and off what remains a fair mark and under conditions that suit he will be hard to beat. Best Double rates the main danger on her best form but she disappointed behind Ripples Maid last time out for no apparent reason and looks weighted up to her best. City For Conquest is game and consistent and is sure to run her race but she is another that looks in the handicappers grip. Shes Minnie is from a yard in form and is another that could go well but all her best form is over a longer trip. Of the remainder Smooch has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price if the fitting of a first time visor brings about improvement but for the winner we are happy to return to Loch Verdi.
