Great Plains can turn the form around with Fairmile to complete a quick double for Amanda Perrett with Foodbroker Founder also an interesting runner. Great Plains has three lengths to find with Fairmile but the giant son of Halling was all at sea around the tight turns of Kempton and he his best judged on his sixth in a competitive race at Newmarket, where he was noted making eye-catching late progress. Great Plains hasn¿t had much respite from the handicapper but that is nullified by this galloping track on a slower surface. Fairmile has to be respected. He was a tidy scorer of the Kempton race but the handicapper seems to have overreacted in putting him up 7lb for the performance. There is also a suspicion that Fairmile is better on a dirt surface. Foodbroker Founder¿s recent flat form is dire but he waltzed away with a handicap hurdle at Stratford. David Elsworth¿s gelding is now lower than his previous success on the level but a worry is that his best form has come on a sound surface. There appear to be plenty of positives for Great Plains who can score at a decent price.
