Walter Swinburn has had a torrid season but his Some Diva may have sneaked in off a decent mark and is fancied ahead of Red Diadem and Sensuous. Having had the virus for much of last season, Some Diva received a mark of 58 for his second on his handicap debut at Warwick. Time will show that trying to give 10lb to the winner Bakhhoor was an impossible task. Some Diva has a plum draw in 15 and Seb sanders will attempt to make all. Willie Haggas will have been disappointed that Red Diadem is rated 67. The filly had shown little in three starts before an encouraging performance at Windsor, which was far better than the bare result - she traveled well before fading inside the final furlong on the fast surface. This slower going today will help the daughter of Pivotal and a much better display is expected. The same can be said of Sensuous, who lost all chance in that Windsor race by bolting to the start. Richard Hannon¿s filly has a 5lb pull for a defeat by Perfect Treasure at Brighton and is another who will appreciate any rain. Perfect Treasure and Piccostar have to be considered as does La Fanciulla, but the vote goes to Some Diva.
