Dream Champion finally got of the mark at the eighth time of asking on his latest start and can account for Le Colombier and Kyoto Summit in a tough handicap. The selection had become a tad frustrating before scoring at Catterick in a poor maiden and it may have seen the handicapper let him lightly here of a mark of 74. The step up to 14 furlongs has brought out plenty of improvement and he may well still be on the upgrade. Le Colombier is an obvious danger. John Hills¿s strapping colt finally got off the mark when landing a competitive maiden at Wolverhampton in workmanlike fashion. It was only in the last 100 yards that Le Colombier got on top in the nine-furlong contest, so this three-furlong step up is ideal, especially with him being related to the high-class Air Marshall. Another to be considered is Kyoto Summit, absent since winning on his reappearance at Nottingham over 10 furlongs. The going that day was soft and it¿s possible that her trainer Luca Cumani has kept her away from the firm ground (she disappointed on it before). Any more rain would be an obvious advantage but the concession of 16lbs to Dream Champion may prove too much, for whom a narrow vote is given
