Palace Moon can shine in this maiden and sink Oarsman and Desert Pride in the process. The selection was the focus of plenty of attention on debut courtesy of being a half-brother to Sakhee's Secret and was fairly well backed. He was slowly away, green in running and ran out of steam close home but still beat all bar one of the opposition. The form hasn't worked out but he's given another chance here. Oarsman has had his share of chances and connections have reached for the headgear in an attempt to get him to produce the goods on the track. He has ability and shouldn't be written off after just four starts. Cape Rock produced a career best last time but may need further and the consistent Desert Pride may be more effective at this trip. Street Power makes most interest of the remainder and is well worth a market check but Palace Moon gets the vote.
