Verdict

AL HADEER was long odds-on at Hamilton but again found one too good again. However, the winner followed up in a handicap at the same track so the form is probably better than it looked at the time and he gets another chance. Scentasia made a very promising reappearance at Sandown and has since moved to John Gosden. She wouldn’t need much more to land this and the Godolphin four-year-old Gifts Of Gold went close at Ripon and Pontefract in the autumn and hasn’t been kept in training for nothing. Hindaam is a possible improver but it’s difficult to make a case for the remainder.
