In a tricky finale, Fattaan is just preferred to Parnassian and Red Hot Polka. The latter led for a long way when third on Polytrack at Lingfield last time and has certainly shown enough to suggest he can make the frame here, a remark that also applies to Toby Balding's Parnassian. He races off the same mark as when third in a similar race over course and distance last time, so should again be in the hunt. Mayzin was staying on over seven furlongs last time and will appreciate this longer trip, but Fattaan has a good deal more scope than the vast majority of these and Marcus Tregoning's colt is taken to score on his handicap debut. He showed some promise in a ten furlong Chepstow maiden last time, the stable are in fine form and he looks more than capable of winning races off his current handicap mark.
