A particularly weak amateurs' sprint in which few can boast solid recent form so a tentative vote goes to Torrent while Mr Spliffy looks the main danger ahead of Another Victim and Shady Deal. David Chapman's charge ended a long losing sequence stretching back to 2000 when scoring at Ripon a week ago and still looks well treated on the pick of his turf form despite a 7lb penalty so should give another good account. Mr Spliffy stepped up significantly on previous efforts when narrowly denied off the same mark at Warwick on Sunday so has to be feared at this level while Another Victim has claims on his back-to-back wins last term and will be sharper for his recent seasonal return. Shady Deal has a consistent profile this term and is also worthy of note but Torrent looks worth following now that he has resumed the winning habit.
