A fairly competitive affair can go to Estimate while Blue Symphony, Royal Twist and Wages are others to concentrate on. Clive Brittain continues in excellent form and the veteran handler is taken to add to the tally with Estimate, who makes her handicap debut on a potentially lenient mark. The selection has shown plenty of promise in three maiden starts including a fair third behind a useful type on her latest start in a one-mile Epsom maiden in April. Bred to appreciate middle distances being a half sister to a Park Hill winner, she can be expected to leave previous efforts behind for this step up in trip. Blue Symphony has been knocking on the door in similar company for some time but Ed Dunlop's charge has looked none too hearty in a finish and is passed over on this occasion. Royal Twist ran a fair race at Hamilton last time but is far from certain to be as effective over this longer trip while Wages has struggled at the hands of the handicapper and it may be a similar story once again under top weight so Estimate looks the answer to a tricky contest.
