Having found one too good in each of her four previous starts, Shebeen has certainly been expensive to follow but looks to have been found a decent opportunity to open her account and is taken to do so at the main expense of Glencoe Solas and Mary's Baby. Henry Candy's filly showed fair form in maidens as a two-year-old and looked to have trained on when finding just Hey Presto too good in handicap-company over course and distance on her reappearance. Second back in maiden-company on her only start since, Shebeen returns to a handicap today off a 1lb higher mark than for her previous start in the grade and has solid claims. Sylvester Kirk's Glencoe Solas has to race off a 5lb higher rating than when successful in similar company at Windsor earlier in the month and may struggle to follow up. A bigger danger could be topweight Mary's Baby whose reappearance fourth behind a back to form Camberley at Goodwood reads well in the context of this race. Kenley Lass has been given a chance by the handicapper and has to be respected off her lightweight. Patandon Girl is capable but inconsistent, something that cannot be levelled at the selection Shebeen, who should take plenty of beating.
