A tough race for punters where we will side with GLOBAL to return to form and get the better of Vainglory and Final Verse. The selection has a 50 per cent strike rate with four wins from eight starts, including a hat-trick in May, before coming up short at Sandown last time. This is not as tough a contest as that race and the drop back to a mile looks a plus. With the yard going well we will side with the Bahamian Bounty colt. Vainglory put behind him a lengthy losing streak when scoring at Leicester and shoulders a 6lb penalty today as a result. He has run well in defeat from this mark in the past, so he is no forlorn hope, though he is clearly vulnerable and none-too-consistent. We'll Come looks in the grip of the assessor at present, but Final Verse has clear frame claims. Taffy Salaman's gelding is generally very consistent and this is easier than his attempt in the Royal Hunt Cup last time. Viva Vettori looks best of the rest, but Global gets the nod.
