In depth

Verdict

A trappy look to the opener and DARLEY SUN is preferred to the other trio, none of whom would be surprise winners. The selection has won two of his last three starts, both over this trip, and has risen to a mark of 81 as a result. Fast ground suits and the manner of his win last time at Haydock suggested that he has the ability to defy this latest rise. Cry For The Moon may be the one for the forecast. Amanda Perrett's colt scored over 12f at Pontefract in April before a 5lb rise and the step up to this trip at Sandown proved too much. Even so, he was beaten just two lengths there and should be competitive from 1lb higher. There should be little to choose between he and King Of Wands, who is 2lbs worse off with Cry For The Moon for a deficit of one-and-a-half lengths and should be heavily involved. Non Dom won a Windsor handicap over 1m 4f last month but has gone up 10lbs since and he looks to have the toughest task of the quartet, and Darley Sun can prevail.
