Verdict

Another race for the fillies and we will take COUNTESS ZARA to come good, while Morning Queen and Athania look dangers. The Andrew Balding-trained selection has been sliding in the weights and races here from a mark of just 62. The drop back to this trip and the application of headgear both look well worth a try and we hope that they can do the trick in a weak race. Morning Queen ran well on her handicap debut at Leicester last time over this trip. She acts well on fast ground and from the same mark today she appears to be a leading player. Alan Jarvis saddles Athania, who drops back in trip and is again down 2lbs in the weights after being beaten at Kempton last time. Money for her would make her very interesting. Itsher is consistent enough but as yet unproven on ground this quick, while Bath's quick ground suited Avrilo last time and she may prove good enough to reach the frame again here. Countess Zara is taken to score.
