Chiff Chaff is the pick over Marju's Gold and Linlithgow in a moderate looking handicap. Chiff Chaff has shown vast improvement since being stepped up to middle distances this year, being placed on each of her two starts, at Wolverhampton and Warwick. Michael Bell's filly looks well capable of taking a handicap at this level, and should now be spot on. She finished a place ahead of Marju's Gold at Warwick, and although the latter is now 2lb better off for half-a-length, he was always held and may suffer the same fate again. In addition, Eoghan O'Neill's charge meets Linlithgow on worse terms than when third to the Dunlop challenger at Southwell in April, and that is another reason to oppose him. Calzaghe is visored for the first time, and Lightning Queen could easily improve, but Chiff Chaff is on the upgrade and is the one to side with.
