Pic Up Sticks gets a most tentative vote over Border Music, Roman Maze, Third Set and Orpsie Boy in a wide-open handicap. Drawn high in stall 16, Pic Up Sticks is taken to improve on his latest effort at Goodwood when a strong-finishing third over five furlongs. Back over today's trip, and expected to strip even fitter, the one-time Mick Channon inmate, can give his present stable another winner. Border Music disappointed badly on the all-weather last time but has leading claims on form of old, while Roman Maze is still not badly handicapped compared to last year. Third Set has topweight to overcome, but can only improve for a last of 21 behind Zidane on his Ascot reappearance, so may be a player for the frame with his yard still in form. Orpsie Boy felt the benefit of a winter gelding operation to return with a bang at Lingfield, but he goes well fresh and might not have that much improvement. Pic Up Sticks is running into form and can deliver the goods.
