The short list for the opener contains Carrickmacross, Kamal and Diademas, with the selection being Diademas. Carrickmacross stayed on nicely after a slow start on his course and distance debut last time and, with even normal improvement, should be able to show up well today. Jamie Osborne's juveniles are going well and Diademas wilted close home on his six furlongs debut so the drop in trip might help matters along although, on breeding, he should get further. Others to note are Kamal, a 33,000 guineas son of Bahamian Bounty and Sir Mark Prescott's Seconds Out, but Turn And River has not really built on her promising debut. All of which returns us to the selection, which is Diademas.
