In depth

Verdict

Gold Flame gets the vote here ahead of Morbick and Six Of Trumps. If Henry Candy has been able to keep Gold Flame sound then the four-year-old son of Gorse should go well today. He would have needed his latest start but, with the form of his maiden run in 2006 having worked out pretty well, his profile for a maiden lacking strength in depth looks a good one in terms of him running well. A 50,000 guineas son of Kyllachy, Morbick has to be given some thought on his debut, while Six Of Trumps was highly tried on his Ascot debut and should be more comfortable at this level, and maybe with the drop in trip too, and Lord Of The Reins has something to like on breeding. These seem to be the key players, with the selection being Gold Flame.
