SWEET PILGRIM gets the vote to beat Mrs Boss and Decency in a competitive race for fillies. Jim Crowley's mount wasn't sure to be suited by dropping to six furlongs ahead of her handicap debut last time but put those concerns to bed with a thoroughly professional display. Now 4lbs higher, this is of course tougher but she's only had four starts and should continue to progress, hopefully enough to defy the handicapper's attentions. Mrs Boss will likely head the market and deservedly so following a slightly unfortunate second last time. Prior to that she'd taken second to a thrown-in horse from the Haggas yard and she deserves to pick up a small contest, although as a 10 race turf maiden she's opposable on this occasion. Decency won over seven on her seasonal return and remains competitively treated now just 4lbs higher. Evidence so far is that she's as good on turf, despite that win coming at Kempton, but this trip may prove on the sharp side and she's taken on with that in mind. Ramamara is weighted to the hilt but could improve for blinkers, Dream Number is becoming nicely handicapped but is surely better over further whilst Krysanthe hasn't shown much promise so far but could improve now handicapping. Sweet Pilgrim is progressing well and can land the spoils.
