Verdict

A field made up of largely exposed sprinters can be lead home by the Richard Hannon-trained Emsam Ballou, who returns to what is probably her ideal trip after reaching a very attractive mark of just 66 from her three starts to date. Go Go Girl and Glencoe Solas also have claims on the best of their form and are expected to put up the most resistance to the selection - while Disco Diva and Tuscarora are capable of playing a hand at the finish and may provide some value for each-way players if they have a little luck in running. However, Emsam Ballou has a very good draw for her first try in handicap company and her trainer will still have plenty of horse to work with if even if she romped to victory against this modest bunch of rivals - the best of whom, on the book at this stage is the 70-rated Naughty Girl, who looks to be on the downgrade after struggling since winning a maiden at Hamilton last July. Glencoe Solas starts the season on a fair mark and is fancied to give Emsam Ballou the most to do.
