This is a wide open handicap with PENANG CINTA coming here after winning last time out and Feathered Crown trained by Henry Cecil sure to put in a strong challenge whilst Mabuya running off top weight may also feature. Penang Cinta was in command when victorious over this trip at Brighton and if showing this sort of form here could emerge victorious ahead of higher rated opposition. This certainly looks the right distance for this seven-year-old and having won two out of his last three races including a win over in Guernsey, the selection on the pick of his form could take this race. Mabuya has been the runner up twice in his last two races but never really looked like winning last time at Chepstow. His pedigree is certainly interesting and in first time blinkers will be looking to improve upon a record that has only yielded one win in twelve starts. Feathered Crown looks a danger but there are reservations about the distance and having been beaten within the final furlong last time over a shorter trip we oppose him today. Novikov has been running further over the hurdles recently so this is potentially an interesting entry for David Evan's gelding. An interesting jockey booking also catches the eye but today we go for the in-form pick amongst the field, Penang Cinta.
