Mersey Sound bolted up on his first start for David Elsworth and an eight pound hike in the weights is unlikely to be enough to stop him from following up here; Polish Spirit, Desert Island Disc and Aoninch may give him most to do. After a string of unplaced efforts with Sylvester Kirk, Mersey Sound hacked up on his first start for David Elsworth, slamming Moon Emperor by four lengths in what had looked a competitive race. He drops back in trip today and that shouldn't be a real problem, so he is probably worth supporting here to follow up. Stable mate Zamboozle recorded a first career win at Newbury last time and appears to be on the upgrade, so he cannot be ruled out. That remark also applies to Aoninch, who has put in a string of consistent efforts lately and goes well at this track. Desert Island Disc hinted at a return to form when third at Epsom last time and is well treated on her old form, but for us `Mersey Sound is the one they all have to beat.
