A line through Humble Opinion suggests that Dry Ice has a couple of pounds in hand of likely favourite Goodwood Spirit, and Henry Candy's charge is fancied to score here; Celtic Spa and Chapter should prove best of the rest. The latter followed up his handicap win at Windsor with arguably a better performance when third to Raza Cab in a Newmarket claimer last time. Richard Hannon's colt should again go close, while Celtic Spa has been knocking on the door and was second in an apprentice handicap over this course and distance a fortnight ago. Goodwood Spirit recorded a fast time when winning at Newbury on his latest start, when he beat Humble Opinion by half a length. The runner-up then got his head in front at Leicester next time, beating Dry Ice by half a length. Henry Candy's charge has about three pounds in hand of Goodwood Spirit on that solid line of collateral form, and is fancied to score here under Dane O'Neill.
