AROMATIC can come up smelling of roses once again; the most interesting dangers look to be Maria Di Scozia and Cascata. John Gosden's progressive filly made her debut behind Oaks second Midday in September of last season and wasn't disgraced in fifth. She then won her first two starts this season, the most recent at Lingfield in fairly decisive fashion. From a family that improved plenty as a three-year-old she is expected to handle this step up in class and is nominated accordingly. Cascata disappointed on her last start and has been given a break since, whilst Sampi and Tinshu can still improve this season especially the former who signed off last season with a win at Nottingham and if handling this qucker ground is a major player. Heritage Coast is interesting, as is Spell Caster who should improve for a reappearance run 18 days ago. Maria Di Scozia is consistent but she has a 3lb rise for her win last year and she will need to have improved over the winter. A good fillies' handicap this, and preference is for Aromatic.
