In a very interesting affair, we will side with Classicism, with, among a number of others to consider, Abide, Ask For Rain, Red Duchess and Donyana possibly looking best. The selection is a beautifully-bred half-sister by A P Indy to the Breeders' Cup Fillies winner, Tempera, and the high-class Equerry. Of course, the betting might provide a number of clues as to the merit of her chances but there's enough about her profile for us to make her the selection. Abide, a 30,000 guineas son of Pivotal, Barry Hills' Ask For Rain, Amanda Perrett's Trick Of Light, Sir Michael Stoute's Halling filly Red Duchess, Clive Brittain's Nice Tune and John Dunlop's Miss The Boat are all ones to watch out for in the betting and, also, with an eye to the future. Of the others, Authenticate has also shown promise and this seven-furlong trip might just suit him, Classic Guest is trying a new trip and his stable has been in better form of late so it would be no surprise to see him go well. Something Exciting could well step up on his two previous efforts to date, and Donyana showed plenty of promise when fifth to the useful-looking Cassydora at Newmarket on her debut. It is, as we say, an interesting contest and one in which we will stick with Frankie Dettori and Classicism.
