In depth

Verdict

A weak maiden and one that can be taken by Samaria, with Serramanna and Line Drawing likely to fill the frame. The selection has been given a decent opportunity to score here, and provided she can handle the ground on her first attempt with cut, she looks the one to be on. Steadily improving, she looked as though this extra furlong would suit when second at Yarmouth last time, and with more to come, she can take her chance. Serramanna was a staying on third of 10 over 10 furlongs at Nottingham last time, and is another who ran as if this 12 furlongs would be ideal. However, his one attempt with cut in the ground was a flop, so he has a bit to prove now. Of the others, Line Drawing handles cut and should also relish up the step up in trip. Barry Hills's colt is improving and he can give the selection most to do, but we will side with Samaria to break her duck.
