        Verdict

        Claim The Stars was well supported having a first run for new connections at Pontefract but never looked like winning. May Blossom had a busy first season but did win twice and is running in only her second handicap, though was behind Firebomb at Redcar in September. Buckshaw Village finished tailed off on his reappearance at Pontefract while Golden Duke lacks a recent run. SELBY’S PRIDE won here in August and finished close up on his return to action at Thirsk. He has the plum draw so should take all the beating.
