      Verdict

      CHILLINGHAM (NAP), a rapid improver last term, has continued his upward curve this season with a comfortable Thirsk success before posting a highly creditable fourth of 16 behind Vauban in the Copper Horse Handicap at Royal Ascot. He runs here off an unchanged mark and sets the standard, as well as suggesting he can progress further after just half a dozen starts. Pride Of Priory has shown less than expected on two starts this term but was also most progressive last term and it would be a surprise if his leading handler doesn't bring about improvement sooner or later. Sir Rumi can be a little hit and miss but he's be a player here with Owen Lewis taking a valuable 7lb off his back. Mr Curiosity was much better last time at Chester and a repeat effort would see him contend.
