In depth

Verdict

Sir Arthur can resume winning ways in this handicap at the main expense of Caucasienne and Fenners. The selection lost no caste in defeat last time when he was collared close home by Zaif at Beverley. The front two came well clear of the rest in that race so the form looks solid and we think he can regain the winning thread. Caucasienne had an off-day at Chepstow last time when she was well beaten but prior to that she had been running well and if she can put her best foot forward she should be capable of making a race of it. Fenners ran well here last time and he could be the biggest danger to the selection as he will be doing his best work late on. The worry with him though is that he might be better over a slightly longer trip. Grizebeck could prove best of the remainder, but we are happy to stick with Sir Arthur who can land the prize.
