Verdict

North Fleet is taken to land the opener at the main expense of Immaculate Red and La Vecchia Scuola. The selection was well beaten when last seen out at Nottingham but he is eased in grade today and he has his optimum ground conditions. He also has the very capable Barry Savage on board and he looks the one to beat. Immaculate Red is another that will handle the ground and the drop back to this trip will certainly help him. La Vecchia Scuola finished a fair fourth in a claimer at Catterick last time and as that was an improved effort from this filly, she is definitely worth a look in the market. Dark Moon is better than she has been showing of late, so if she were to recapture some of her old sparkle she would be a major player. However, North Fleet looks a more solid bet and he is taken to score.
