      Verdict

      This looks a question of whether I SAY acts on good ground. After a fine debut on heavy going last October, she didn't reappear until last month when comfortably landing a Carlisle maiden on soft ground despite drifting in the closing stages. Providing the ground doesn't firm up she can make a winning handicap debut. Hot Rod Mamma also scored at Carlisle last time, landing a ladies race in very easy fashion. An 8lb rise looks a bit harsh however so Nemushka, who scored at Leicester before a good effort in a much better race at York, looks the main threat. Are You Mine has disappointed so far but there's still time for her to make progress and she could hardly be better treated.

      Of Course Darling 10-1 (9-2) Tracked leading pair, went 2nd 6f out, challenged and every chance 2f out, ridden over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong, last of 5, 5l behind Curly Come Home (9-6) at Brighton 1m 2f flls hcp 0-85 (4) gf.
