There are few better trainers at bringing one back after a long absence than Henry Candy so Annina, a six-length winner of her only start at Lingfield last September, is respected. Robert The Painter scrambled home at Beverley last month then followed up there a fortnight later by seven lengths but a 12lb rise may stop him in his tracks. HAKUNA MATATA won well over the course and distance in June and has been competing with credit from his new mark so, in a wide-open handicap and with Connor Beasley's claim a big help, he's handed the verdict. Dubai Dynamo, who has a dozen career victories to his name, usually goes well here and in the unlikely event of the ground turning soft, last month's Ayr winner Le Chat D'Or would be the choice and No Poppy would also have a better chance. Stevie Thunder has dropped to his lowest mark for over two years and could snatch a place at a big price.
