Verdict

Apart from course and distance winner Music Festival, none of those near the foot of the weights make much appeal in this opener so we'll concentrate on the top half-dozen. Fame Again was second at Beverley last time but still beaten seven lengths and has never won on Turf. The three-year-olds Shaolin and Arbeel should be thereabouts again but the booking of Fran Berry for RED PALADIN catches the eye with Kevin Ryan's charge on a 5lb lower mark than when a close-up third over track and trip in May. He gets the nod ahead of recent Fibresand winner Imaginary World and Dancing Maite, who may find the ground too quick.
