Hogmaneigh has fared nicely on the draw front and he gets the vote ahead of Rising Shadow, Valery Borzov and Knot In Wood. The selection comes here on the back of a good fourth behind Holbeck Ghyll at Epsom. That run was over five furlongs but the return to six isn't against him and on ground that suits and from a high draw, he holds as good a chance as any. Baby Strange only found Pearley Wey too good on a recent engagement at Goodwood and won't be far away again as he goes on any ground, whilst Conquest is not straight-forward but won well recently at Goodwood in the Stewards' Cup. Tajneed and Valery Borzov give Dandy Nicholls a strong hand as two of his quartet and both should be feared, along with Rising Shadow. He would love further rain but the draw hasn't been kind; 8 of the last 9 winners have come from double-figure draws. Fullandby, Knot In Wood and Viking Spirit all come here in good form and should be high on anyone's shortlist, however we will stick with Hogmaneigh.
