The Ark De Triumph (?) maiden gets proceedings underway and we will side with Abbey Steps ahead of Senor Berti and the Richard Fahey pair. The selection has had two starts to date and improved from his first run at Pontefract when second at Carlisle over a furlong shorter. The return to six furlongs on this flat track is in his favour and he can get off the mark. Expect improvement from the once-raced pair of Senor Berti who was well-fancied for his debut and Royal Salsa, whilst More Than Many is not a newcomer to underestimate. Sea Crest has had three runs and tries to pick up a maiden before entering Nursery company, whilst Bob's Smithy shaped very nicely on debut at Haydock and should be wiser today. An open race, but we'll side with Abbey Steps.
