Kaymich Perfecto is a hit and hope selection ahead of Silly Gilly and Evelith Regent in this 'minefield' of a handicap. Evelith Regent was a good second at the last meeting here 10 days ago. And a repeat of that effort would bring the Alan Swinbank-trained gelding right into the argument. The five-year-old stays a deal further than a mile but is unexposed at the trip, so is worth a throw of the dice. On the other hand, Silly Gilly gets the trip well and has been running with credit of late. She is only 1lb above a wining mark and has to merit respect on these terms. Others to bear in mind include: Yerevan, who has posted a couple of sound runs since being tried with a tongue tie, while Astroangel has the ability to win at this level but seems to save a little for herself and has yet to win a race as a result. However, it may be best to side with proven course form over this straight mile. With none making more appeal than Kaymich Perfecto, who already has won here three times in the past. Richard Whittaker's gelding obviously has an affinity with the Redcar crowd and he is likely to be a popular choice in his search for course win number four.
