Deira Dubai is taken to finally get her head in front and is selected in preference to Great Knight and Ancient Cross. The last named has been running consistently and is well worth another try over this trip. However, he does face a stiff test under the race conditions and needs to run to the very best of his abilities to prevail. Great Knight has finished second in each of his last four starts ¿ no doubt leaving his connections frustrated about what they have to do to swing results in their favour. Nevertheless, the son of Acclamation has very little to prove to at least make the frame and he is a likely candidate to be involved at the business end. However, Deira Dubai, who gets a very handy 7lb weight-for-age allowance along with the fillies weight concession, will rarely be presented with a better opportunity to finally rid herself of the maiden tag. The daughter of Green Desert does need to settle better in her races and will never be one to trust implicitly. However, she has plenty in her favour today and can have very few excuses if she does not deliver the goods this time around.
