In depth

Verdict

An ordinary looking maiden, which can be taken by Hurricane Coast. Clearly not an easy ride, his tendency to hang left could be negated by a decent draw here and on the fast ground he loves, can break the duck after running well at Catterick the other day. Volcanic comes from an in-form yard, but looks like he is going to take a while to come to himself. Bred to get this trip and more, he is best watched until showing more. The rest look a moderate bunch, with perhaps Michael Polglase-trained Taggerty the one to fill one of the minor places.
