Not the hottest of maidens and Henry Cecil may have found a good opportunity here for debutante Dionea. By Hernando, the filly is bred to specialise at 10 to 12 furlongs in time and should be up to this seven furlong introduction to the racecourse. A good draw will also help her cause, though taking note of the market will give more of an idea of whether she is ready to win first time. The one to chase her home could well be King David. Jamie Osborne's gelding was seen in action for only the second time when fourth of 19 at Lingfield recently and after never really being asked a serious question there, looks the type to improve, particularly on this better ground. Of the remainder, Zyzania has shown some ability, though she does look a bit one-paced. A place may again be the best she can hope for. The same goes for Castaigne, who has a tendency to be slowly away and will not be helped by a wider draw than most of her rivals. With John Gosden's yard having hit form, then Jules cannot be ruled out, though she is another who has been slow to adapt to the game so far and needs to improve somewhat to be involved here.
