Verdict

An open looking maiden which might pay not to get too heavily involved with. John Dunlop's Shujune looks to be the best of those with racecourse experience. Her only run came at Kempton recently, when she jumped right at the start, which cost her valuable ground. Despite that she was not disgraced to work her way through the field into fourth at the finish and with a better start here she should be thereabouts. Her two leading rivals could well be the debutantes Accentor and Sovereign Seal. The former comes from the yard of Jeremy Noseda and is bred for speed. Her trainer also has a good record with first time winners, so a big run here would be no surprise. The same can be said of Sovereign Seal. Mark Johnston trains her and she is also bred to be spot on for this sort of trip. With her yard having a decent record with debutantes any money for her will probably be significant.
