Not the most competitive handicap run at Redcar this season and the race can probably be narrowed down to the top four on the card. Gaelic Princess is twice a winner over the minimum trip, and defeat when upped in grade at Doncaster last time an be forgiven, though she may just be in the grip of the handicapper at the moment. The fast ground will help. Midnight Special won the race her consistency deserved last time, after some good placed efforts in similar company. Drawn against the rail, if she can get off to a good start then she will give these plenty to think about and might be good enough to follow up that Musselburgh success. Zafine is another consistent sort. A daughter of Zafonic, she has been tried in similar company without success so far and though a win would be a bit of a surprise, place money would not. Preferred to all these though is Mardoof. With the stable in form and conditions to suit, the colt can get back to winning ways after finishing fourth behind Arzoo last time.
