A poor contest rounds off proceedings, but there has to be a winner, and the most likely we think is MASTER NIMBUS, but Monte Pattino and Miss Keck could also get involved at the business end. The selection usually runs well in any ground, but hasn't won since landing a better race at Pontefract last summer. The yard's in decent form, and he comes here as only one of a trio from the big field to have won over course and distance, albeit that was three years ago. The others to have done so are top weight Mister Arjay, who stays competitive with a seven pound claimer on board, and Celtic Charisma. Monte Pattino got the better of Master Nimbus last time out at Musselburgh over this trip, but goes unpenalised as that was an apprentices' race. That was a big turn-up, so beware the "bounce" factor. He made all that day, and front-running tactics may be used again. Miss Keck will probably go better if there's a decent pace on. She certainly gets the trip, and may have won a race by now with some luck in running. It's not a contest for the housekeeping, but we'll side with Master Nimbus.
