AINIA is taken to lead them home in this moderate maiden at the main expense of Reportage, Monetary Fund and Stravella. David Simcock's four-year-old makes her reappearance today having run seven times in 2008 with little success. She was second on three occasions which might raise a few eyebrows but she has form on a variety of ground, and some of her placed form reads well in the context of this race. Rated 4lbs superior is Monetary Fund who has also had a few chances. This Montjeu colt comes here fit after two recent runs and his latest start at Thirsk suggested his turn is near. Turbo Shandy and Weekend Away make little appeal on their debuts, whilst Madhal, Stravella and Improper are open to improvement after one start apiece. Reportage has also had just the one start but looked clueless on that occasion and John Gosden's Elusive Quality colt will need to show more nous today, although quicker ground should help. This maiden can go the way of Ainia.
