Verdict

A chance is taken here on MARY MASON who is selected ahead of Perfect Friend, Peanut Girl and Keep Dancing. Martin Hill is more associated with National Hunt winners but Mary Mason can be a rare flat winner if she is back on song. She won her maiden at Ripon well in August when trained by Ann Duffield but she didn¿t show too much when beaten on her debut for this yard at Kempton. However that run should have brought her on significantly (raced too freely) and she won on her second start last season. Perfect Friend was a winner three weeks ago at Warwick and has now won twice. She is ultra-consistent and if this new mark of 70 is not too high then she ranks highly on the list of dangers. Peanut Girl also usually runs her race and must be considered along with Champion Girl, Final Rhapsody and Bold Rose who were all not at their best last time out. Straitjacket and Keep Dancing are two more for consideration but it is Mary Mason who is nominated.
