A big field for this contest, and what bits of form there are to go on don't tell us too much. Devinius is a tentative selection; she's got a couple of thirds to her name among better company, and could get the better of Alsadeek and Muftarres. Alan Swinbanks' filly looks progressive, and has the benefit of being drawn in stall 15. The others on our shortlist also have racing experience; Alsadeek, was disappointing in a higher grade handicap last time out, but this could be his level. Sir Michael Stoute doesn't send too many to Redcar, so his colt Muftarres will also have support, having had a decent run first time out at Doncaster. He'll have come on for that. As ever, any market support for the newcomers could be significant, but our tentative pick is Devinius.
